When we sat down with the Welsh star we had to know if there’s an album, surely there’s a tour on the way? He grinned and told us: “Oh yes. We are working out a window for next year with all my other commitments. But it will definitely happen, I promise you that.” Well, he is a man of his word and the dates were confirmed today.
Luke revealed the four concerts today and said: “As some people know, it’s been my dream throughout my life to record and release an album.
“And now that the response to my debut album ‘At Last’ has been so brilliant, I’m finally getting a chance to fulfil another dream of mine……to go on tour and perform these songs to my fans.
“I can promise that I will be delivering an entertaining show for everyone, with a few surprises in store.”

“Maybe,” he smiles. “I love power ballads and rock epics but I wanted to reimagine them.
“So I take Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time, which has very sad lyrics, and change it.”
He burst out laughing: “But it still has drama and a big finish. You’re right! I can’t help myself.”
Strictly audiences were dazzled two weekends ago with Luke’s emotional rendition of the Les Miserables weepie Bring Him Home, which closes out the album. He told me why that song has played such an important role in his life.
“I’ve been singing it since I was 16, I’ve always loved the lyrics, the sense of searching, ’ he says. “But I find the message resonates with me so much more now.”
Still only 16, he jumped on the train and auditioned for performing arts college, the London Studio Centre. Guess which song he sang?
“I know it’s tough, it goes so high,” he smiles. ‘But I always figure, ‘Why not show what I’ve got?’ And it worked. I was 16 years old, got a scholarship and moved to London at 17. I arrived the day Princess Diana died (August 31, 1997). I can never forget it.”
22 years later he is still performing it and hopefully lucky fans will get to hear it again live when he takes his lucky song and the whole album on the road…
It’s time to bring it home.
